Wearable Art Mandurah Paper Category. March 2021

The Wearable Art Mandurah Competition and Showcase is on again in 2021, drawing together the amazing creativity of wearable art artists from across the country and around the world. This year is the first time the competition has included a Paper Wearable Art category and I am privileged to be the Paper Category Coordinator. The Paper Category finalist garments will be on exhibition at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre during November 2021. It’s such a joy to be able to contribute to increasing the profile of an art genre I am so passionate about; and supporting experienced and emerging wearable artists to explore the delights and challenges of paper as a material for wearable art. Paper is such a diverse material and offers so many options for creative use. The exhibition is going to be spectacular. Stay tuned for updates as the exhibition date approaches.
